Turnstiles

Turnstiles are physical barriers, designed to control access to restricted areas including industrial entrances, sports arenas, military premises and other fenced security areas. The UKB International full height turnstiles combine solidity, safety and hospitality.

Turnstiles

Solid Construction

The turnstile is finished in a powder coating in a colour of choice and consists of two parts:

  • a modular frame standard in aluminium
  • a central rotating stainless steel column incorporating a 3 x 120° or 4 x 90° offset bar configurations

Safe Rotor

  • The rotor revolves when pushed by a visitor.
  • The rotation of the column is controlled by a self-centering system which automatically places the column in the next starting position after every cycle. This avoids intermediate postions of the rotor.
  • A built-in breaking system gradually slows down the rotor at the end of a cycle, elimating abrupt stops.
  • The turnstile can be configured to remain locked or to unlock in case of power failure. (Configurable for each direction).
  • In case of technical problems/power failure, a person will never be trapped inside the turnstile.
  • In case the rotor is unlocked ex. free exit, the rotor will temporarily stop when rotating too fast.

Intelligent Control Unit

The UKB International full-height turnstile is equipped with a micro-processor based control unit allowing:

  • Setup and configuration, adjustable to the customers needs.
  • Display for diagnose of entrance and exit.
  • Various operating modes for each passage or direction; Free access, Controlled access (Entrance or exit possible), Locked.
  • Counting pulse for every movement
  • Compatible with any access control system: push button, proximity and magnetic card reader.
  • Easy control and diagnostics over IP or RS485 network.

Long Life

  • The column revolves in an industrial conical ball bearing secured in the foundation. A lubrication nipple allows easy maintenance.
  • The drive mechanism and control are located above the central column, in the roof of the turnstile, inaccessible for unauthorized persons.
  • The braking system of the rotor is based on a drum brake, thus avoiding the use of wear and maintenance sensitive dampers.
